The PER (Person-Environment Relationship) Framework is a way of seeing your child, the spaces they move through, and the relationship between them. It’s built on a simple idea with real power behind it: when a neurodivergent child is struggling, the problem usually isn’t inside the child — it’s in the fit between them and an environment that was never designed with them in mind. And a poor fit can be changed, by changing the space rather than the child.

The framework moves through four resources, in sequence.

Move 01 · The Sensory-Spatial Profile Card builds a warm, detailed portrait of your child — their strengths, interests, sensory world and what helps them thrive.

Move 02 · The Guided Spatial Observation Tool helps you read one of their everyday environments through six spatial principles.

Move 03 · Child-Environment Reflections brings the two together and gives you language for what’s happening between your child and that space.

Move 04 · The Spatial Response turns everything you’ve noticed into gentle, meaningful change — reshaping what the space is doing, so your child doesn’t have to keep carrying the load.

Together, these four moves build something lasting: not a one-off fix for a single room, but spatial literacy — the ability to see and shape the relationship between your child and any space they’ll ever move through. It doesn’t replace the work of your therapists, teachers or clinicians; it adds a trained spatial lens no one else at the table is bringing. Because your child deserves more than to simply cope in a world that doesn’t fit — they deserve a world built around who they already are.
